Please Note, Naijamaican is not a restaurant/take away shop The service Naijamaican provides is specifically geared to deliver traditional foods and meals using adapted recipes and ingredients, fresh foods, hand prepared marinades, hand made ingredients, fresh herbs and carefully selected spices to retain authenticity, quality and taste.

Grilled Fish Selected, Hand Roasted to Assure Quality and Origin. Food is displayed and served as done traditionally which means you will not recieve carefully decorated and daintily arranged foods in jaunty plates with floral and artistic splendour as with gourmet european food but will definitely recieve a well presented plate of food that is cooked with care and attention to bring you 'mum's/home cooking' flavour. A lot of Nigerian dishes are cooked using palm oil either in unrefined, refined or bleached state. Just to dispel the myths and so on, Palm oil contains no cholesterol whatsoever. and is a rich source of Vitamin A, Alpha and Beta Carotenes, Vitamin E and mixed tocopherols and contains a low level of saturated fat. All of which are good for you.

Snacks, Small Bites, Finger Foods, Canapes, H'or Douvres. Order a Cooler and or Order a Tray Snacks such as mini patties, mini nigerian pies, fish, meat and sausage rolls, fish, chicken, meat cakes, chin, pof pof, dumplings, buns, and european and tropical canapes and h'or douvres are available and are usually delivered labelled in stainless steel effect disposable trays or stainless steel trays to tables. A lot of African/Caribbean patrons prefer to order by the tray or by the cooler. This means you simply order a 24 or 32 litre cooler of food or Trays of Fish, Meat and Chicken. For those who don't want the hassle of paying a deposit for coolers and trays and having to cart them back after, food grade tamper evident buckets and disposable trays are available which you can keep and reuse or recycle, you may if you wish provide your own coolers; please advise if you wish to do so. Order A Pot Order a pot is popular with batchelors, busy housewives and patrons. Here you recieve the equivalent of a pot of food/foods such as vegetable fried rice, jollof rice, spicy rice, rice and peas; Stews such as lamb and butter beans, lamb and spinach, sheeps stomach in hot stew, mixed meat stew, mama put/buka stew with meat or chicken, spinach soup and stir fried spinach with vegetables and lentils. The foods are packed and frozen for you with a pot equating to around 7 medium to large food containers, labelled with instructions for storage and reheating. Order a Pot Price Guide
Set Plated Menus The plated menus are ideal for dinner parties, seated events such as wedding receptions, birthdays etc. The minimum guest number for this is 30 people. This option is ideal for events where hosts/hostesses prefer guests to remain seated during the event and be served at their tables and works best for those using planned seating. You would need to decide and advise of which menus you opt for, and to provide seating plans with names of guests and options to facilitate service. For the Jamaican Foods, staples, main dishes and accompaniments are served in either dipped or flat plates with the salads being served in a side dish. For the Nigerian Foods, Staples, and Options are served in either dipped or flat plates with the salads and accompaniments served on a side plate. The starters are delivered to tables in small stainless steel trays. For this service the recommendaton is that you use about 1 waiter/ess per 15 guests, i.e 2 round tables that seat about 16 people or 4 standard trestle tables that seat about 4 people, staffing cost for seated waiting is £ 10.25 per hour. For all services 6 to 8 weeks notice is required this includes services such such as bespoke gifts and bridal gifts for which at least 3 weeks notice is required. I bake, but I do not decorate cakes I only glaze with edible wax, I need a weeks notice for sponge and 2 weeks for rum, rum and coffee or smooth of whole fruit cake. For cakes with any decoration, the least the cake factory will consider is 7 days for sponge and 31 days for fruit cake. Setting up, dressing and adorning cake tables with stands, linen, peripherals, flowers and tinsel is not free, please advise if you need this. There are absolutely no rush around staff available, preparing for an event takes time and effort; the shortest notice considered is 1 week and that is for small orders only eg. order a pot or less than 50 guests delivery only. If your order is larger than this, please do not try to get angry, curse, yell, shout, get abusive or ring at all hours unecessarily and expect anyone to rush around wildly, be prepared to be reasonable and understanding and to pay in full before your order date OR simply shop around. We may be able to assist with some of your needs and We may refer you to other caterers known to us. Referring you does not mean that they work for Naijamaican or that their services are endorsed or tried and tested by Naijamaican. They should and will provide you with confirmation of registration with statutory bodies if you request this including food hygeine qualifications.
